More Than a Club
— A Judo Family
Inspiring confidence, fitness, and friendship through Judo
Our Story
Founded by international-level Judo athlete Ben Caldwell, JB Judo began with one goal: to make high-quality Judo accessible to children, families and schools across Suffolk.
From small community sessions to a thriving local programme, we’ve built a club where everyone - from 5-year-olds taking their first fall to parents rediscovering movement - feels welcome and supported.
We believe Judo is more than just a sport. It’s a tool for personal growth, teaching respect, resilience and discipline both on and off the mat.

Our Mission
Our Vision
Our mission is simple - to build confidence, fitness and community through Judo.
We believe training should be fun, challenging and inclusive for everyone who steps onto the mat.

JB Judo’s long-term vision is to establish Suffolk’s first purpose-built, full-time Judo and multi-sport dojo - a home for martial arts, physical education and community wellbeing.
We’re already taking steps toward that goal through local partnerships, school programmes and grassroots development.
Community
and Schools
Beyond our club classes, we proudly deliver five weekly extracurricular sessions in Suffolk schools - introducing Judo to hundreds of pupils every term.
Our work helps schools support confidence, discipline and mental wellbeing through active learning.
